An engineer and civil contractor by profession, he is a working member of Creative Nature Friends. It is a NGO working for conservation of Western Ghats. He is a member of Tree Committee, Karad. He made first demand for Sahyadri tiger reserve and upgradation of Chandoli wildlife sanctuary with central and state government, which helped in getting more funds to the national park for wildlife conservation. He brought to the notice of Bombay Highcourt by filing a public interest litigation about encroachments in Sahyadri Tiger Reserve.
He enjoys travelling and works on capacity building of local youth from forest neighbouring villages to become guides who help travellers enjoy forests exploration. At Pugmarks, he is implementing environmental education programs, bio-medical waste management, eco-restoration and recycling programmes.Anirudh also creates field work opportunities for college students, helping them work on research projects in the Indian wilderness.
Founded in 1982, one of the leading Mountaineering clubs from India. The only club to have 11 Everesters on board and to scale Three 8000m mountains Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Till now, Giripremi has scaled 40 Himalayan Peaks and more than 100 pinnacles in Sahyadris. Giripremi has also established the first Mountaineering Institute in Southern India GGIM.
