He has taken initiative in making Indapur Bus Stand, the most beautiful bus stand of Maharashtra. He has inherited Gosewa, last three generations. To educate the people about importance of domestic cows, and their usefulness, is his passion and moto of life. He uses manure of domestic cows for organic farming. He wrote about the importance of pulses production in these days of hype in the pulses rates, which helped many farmers of Maharashtra.
He has been constantly spreading and raising awareness through social media like Facebook and other public forum on environmental issues of Solapur district. He has involved a morning group called ‘Suprabhat’ in cleaning and tree plantation at different places of city. He is working tirelessly to make Solapur a Smart City.
After retiring from Indian Railways, he has taken to agriculture as his full-time occupation. He had erected a dam and made a parallel waterway leading to the increase in groundwater and in wells. For the last 15 years he is involved in tree plantation, biogas plant, wormy culture and organic silkworm farming.
A natural lover, while in the service of Indian Railways, to make railway stations free from pollution and look smart, he has been regularly undertaking cleanliness and tree plantation programs. He is active in the Eco forum of the city. He is known as a friend of the environment.
