Her belief has always been – You can’t study Botany in a classroom, but by going into the lap of nature. She shares her home with numerous birds, animals and plants. In fact, she has defied all rules of contemporary modern living – by residing in the heart of Pune, without electricity or telephone. She even fetches her water from a well. Her life has been an inspiration for simple and environment friendly lifestyle. She has acquired her knowledge from natural environment and has also been a role model for her students.
