Sanjay Gubbi was interested in nature and wildlife conservation since high school days. He involved himself in local conservation initiatives in his hometown Tumkur and later pursued wildlife conservation as a professional career. His interests lie in conservation science, policies and outreach aspects of conservation. His research interests are in better understanding human-wildlife interactions. He is one of the few in the country with a scientific background and a strong understanding of the socio-economic and political aspects of wildlife conservation. He focuses on working with wide cross-section of people including policy makers, media persons and social leaders on the need for wildlife conservation, focusing mainly on tiger and elephant conservation in the Western Ghats of Karnataka.
N.J. Devaraja Reddy
Mr. Reddy is M. Sc. (Geology), and stood 6th in the University of Mysore. He is a Hydrogeologist and a Rain Water Harvesting Advisor. He has wide experience in the rainwater harvesting field since 1987. He has taken revolutionary steps for the implementation of many projects. Presently, he works as a leading Consultant in Karnataka for Government & Non Government Organizations, along with private sectors like Educational Institutions (Agricultural University), Agriculture Farms, Engineering Colleges, Rural Schools & Colleges, the Watershed Department, Danida (Jalanandi), Rotary Clubs, NSS, Mining Industries and Steel Plants etc.
